Now on WordPress.org — a smarter agent and a smoother connection

Webivus AI is officially live on the WordPress.org plugin directory — install it straight from your WordPress dashboard, no manual upload. Alongside the launch: the agent moves to Claude Sonnet 5 for sharper answers, connecting a site is smoother across email, Google, and connection-key setups, and the whole handshake is hardened against network-based attacks.

    What's new2
    • Available on WordPress.org. Webivus AI is now in the official WordPress plugin directory — install and update it right from your WordPress admin (Plugins → Add New → search "Webivus AI"), with update notifications built in. The directory build includes everything: the on-demand site audit, real-time error monitoring, page-builder awareness, and delete-safety checks.
    • Connect your way. Link a WordPress site by email, with Google, or a one-time connection key — whichever fits, guided step by step.
    Improvements4
    • A smarter agent. Webivus now runs on Claude Sonnet 5 for sharper, more reliable answers, and it holds more of its working context — so it stays on track through long, multi-step tasks and re-checks less.
    • A guided welcome for new accounts. Signing up while connecting a site now walks you through a quick two-question setup before syncing, so Webivus is tailored to you from the very first chat.
    • Safer connections. The site-connection handshake is now hardened against network-based (SSRF and DNS-rebinding) attacks, on top of the consent-gated, encrypted, auto-expiring tokens already in place.
    • Version-stamped downloads. Manually downloaded plugin builds now arrive clearly named by version — for example, Webivus.1.2.4.zip.
    Fixes2
    • Connecting while already signed in now works smoothly — no more getting stuck on the connect screen.
    • The Reconnect button now always opens the correct Webivus page in your WordPress admin, whether you installed from WordPress.org or manually.

Memory, a name it can call you, and privacy controls

Webivus now remembers how you like to work, greets you by the name you choose, and puts you in control of both. Alongside that: a refreshed Settings panel, a cleaner What's New feed and Projects layout, faster replies, and a smoother reload.

    What's new3
    • Context Memory. Webivus now remembers your preferences and the way you like to work from one conversation to the next, so you repeat yourself less. You're always in control — switch it on or off anytime from the new Privacy tab.
    • Tell Webivus what to call you. A new "What should Webivus call you?" field in your profile lets you set a preferred name, and the assistant greets and addresses you by it.
    • A dedicated Privacy tab. Manage Memory, choose whether to help improve Webivus, and read a plain-English summary of what we do — and never do — with your data, all in one place.
    Improvements4
    • Refreshed Settings. A cleaner, more compact settings panel with clearer General and Privacy sections and modern icons.
    • A nicer What's New feed. Update cards are now richer and easier to scan, with a thumbnail alongside each announcement.
    • Tidier Projects page. Your site cards now sit in a neat, responsive grid that lines up under Home — no more awkward gaps.
    • Faster, more consistent replies. The assistant reuses more of its working context, so answers come back quicker and stay consistent through a conversation.
    Fixes1
    • Smoother reloads. Refreshing the app no longer flashes a stray loading message before your workspace appears.
  3. Beta
    2026-06-10

Secure one-click connection, on-demand audit re-syncs, and a faster first sync

This update makes connecting a site simpler and faster, and puts your audit back in your hands. A new one-time verification code streamlines setup, you can re-run an audit whenever you want, and the first sync after connecting now shows live progress in seconds instead of a long spinner.

    What's new6
    • Verified one-click connection. Connecting a site now uses a one-time verification code, confirmed with your site, for a simpler and more secure setup.
    • Re-run any audit on demand. A new Audit tab in the sidebar lets you trigger a fresh re-sync whenever you want, with a live progress popup. Each plan includes a set of free re-syncs per month; extra ones cost a single credit.
    • Smart page dependency checks. Before deleting a page, Webivus scans what relies on it — your navigation menus, your homepage and blog-page settings, WooCommerce's core pages, and any sub-pages beneath it — and blocks the delete with a clear explanation instead of letting it break your site or navigation.
    • Page-builder awareness. Webivus recognizes pages built with Elementor, Divi, and other builders — it labels them when you browse your pages, warns before deleting a page that looks empty but hides a real builder design, and flags a builder plugin that your pages depend on before it's deactivated.
    • Accurate update counts in audits. The Updates card now shows exactly how many plugin, theme, and core updates WordPress actually sees, with clear, step-by-step fix guidance.
    • Re-sync allowances on pricing. The pricing page now spells out how many monthly re-syncs each plan includes, with 'New' badges on what's changed.
    Improvements5
    • Much faster first sync. After connecting, the audit starts immediately and the report shows live progress within seconds — gone is the delay and blank loading window that made setup feel slow.
    • Bigger, more accurate lists and reports. Long plugin and post lists now render in full and match WordPress exactly — no truncated results, no stray entries.
    • Longer working sessions. Conversation history holds far more messages, so extended back-and-forth stays intact.
    • A more natural-sounding agent. Sharper tone, sensible emoji use, and replies that read like a focused teammate.
    • Graceful when busy. If the assistant is briefly unavailable, you get a clear, friendly message instead of a failed request.
    Fixes4
    • More accurate audit scoring. Security scores now use graduated severity instead of an all-or-nothing cap, so they better reflect what's actually wrong.
    • Clearer guidance when a plugin is out of date, with no confusing internal details in the message.
    • Steadier sign-in across browsers and environments — fewer stuck or half-logged-in states.
    • Signing up from a paid plan now takes you straight to checkout.

Billing polish — Resume Subscription, calendar dates, instant credit sync

A second wave of beta improvements landing before Monday's launch — all focused on the billing flow. Reverse a cancellation during the grace period, renewal dates align with the calendar instead of drifting a day, and your credit counter updates the moment you return from checkout.

    What's new1
    • Resume a cancelled subscription. Changed your mind during the grace period? One click in Billing reverses the cancellation — no new charge today, your plan continues on the original schedule.
    Improvements3
    • Renewal dates align with the calendar. Subscribe on the 21st, renew on the 21st — no more one-day drift on months with 31 days.
    • Credits update instantly after purchase. The header counter ticks to your new plan's allocation the moment you return from checkout — no manual refresh needed.
    • Cancelled plans auto-downgrade on time. When your paid period ends your account moves to Free automatically and a clear expiry email goes out.
    Fixes3
    • Cancelling a subscription now reliably preserves access until your billing period ends — and you can resume it any time before then.
    • Starting a new plan while you're in a cancellation grace period now shows a clear message pointing you to Resume Subscription, instead of accidentally running two paid plans in parallel.
    • Payment confirmations are de-duplicated server-side. A network retry during a deploy can no longer credit your account twice.
  5. Beta

Public beta — audits, error capture, and a sharper agent

Webivus moves to public beta today. Since early access we focused on three things — depth (a full site audit on every connect), safety (live error capture and stricter update guards), and agent quality. Core flows are stable for daily use; your feedback shapes 1.0.

    What's new6
    • Site audit reports. Every connected site gets a seven-category audit automatically — security, performance, content, SEO, accessibility, plugin health, and WooCommerce. Each finding ships with a severity, a recommendation, and a short narrative summary.
    • Live error monitoring. Webivus captures fatal errors from your site as they happen and surfaces them in the dashboard, so you see breakages before your visitors do.
    • Smarter site-health monitoring. When a site goes offline, Webivus stops retrying, emails you, and reconnects automatically once it's back. Quieter logs, clearer signals.
    • Web search, built in. The agent reaches out to the web when it needs current information, with daily limits per plan so usage stays predictable.
    • WooCommerce update safety. Before any WooCommerce update, Webivus checks your theme's template overrides and blocks updates that would break checkout, cart, or account pages.
    • Bulk plugin updates. Updating five or more plugins now runs as one operation with a single confirmation.
    Improvements7
    • Faster multi-step answers. When the agent needs to check several things at once — plugins, themes, content counts — it fetches them in parallel instead of one after another.
    • More accurate lists. Plugin lists, theme lists, and update reports now match exactly what WordPress sees, with verbatim version numbers.
    • Current-year awareness. The agent always knows what day it is, so searches and answers default to the latest available information.
    • Tighter, more direct replies. Less ceremony, less padding, more useful information per word. Replies now read more like a senior teammate.
    • Conversations flow naturally. Each response renders as one continuous reply with section breaks, instead of being split across multiple message bubbles.
    • Visible progress while the agent works. A pulsing brand indicator sits below each reply while the agent is still working — no more wondering whether anything is happening.
    • Sub-minute setup. Connect site, run the first audit, start chatting. A live sync stepper shows exactly what's happening at each stage.
    Fixes7
    • Logging out works reliably across browsers and environments. No stuck sessions, no half-logout states.
    • Audit reports appear immediately after site connection — no startup delay on the loading screen.
    • Resolved a timing issue where the first audit could occasionally fail right after plugin activation. It now succeeds reliably.
    • Dashboard Site Errors panel now scrolls cleanly to its bottom edge on smaller screens.
    • Site URL detection handles common variants correctly (with or without trailing slash, with or without www).
    • Site-deletion confirmation now uses an in-app toast instead of the browser's native alert dialog.
    • Image uploads over 5 MB now show a clear message before sending, instead of failing silently.
